Solutions in Action
Explore a few examples of how we help organisations create safer, healthier, and more supportive workplaces through evidence-based approaches to psychosocial safety and employee wellbeing.
Every organisation’s needs are unique—we work alongside your leaders and teams to co-create practical, human-centred solutions that put psychosocial safety and employee wellbeing first.
Case Study 1: Building a Psychosocial Risk Strategy for a State Government Transport Provider
Challenge
A large state government transport provider employing 30,000 staff needed to understand and address psychosocial risks across its operations. With an evolving focus on psychological health, the organisation lacked a cohesive, data-informed strategy that aligned with modern best practices.
Solution
Over a 12-month engagement, we led the end-to-end design and implementation of a psychosocial risk profile and a holistic health, safety and wellbeing strategy. Partnering with a university research institute, we administered the Thrive at Work survey and conducted an extensive literature review, desktop analysis, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews.
The consultation process was deliberately inclusive, bringing together all areas of the organisation to co-design an evidence-informed strategy and action plan. The initiative incorporated current academic frameworks and regulatory expectations to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.
Impact
- Organisation-wide collaboration, enabling cultural alignment around wellbeing priorities
- A clear, actionable roadmap to manage psychosocial risks
- Elevated leadership capability in psychological health and safety
- A recognised model for public sector-wide strategy development
Case Study 2: Strengthening Leader Capability for Psychosocial Safety and Supportive Team Cultures in Tertiary Education
Challenge
A large tertiary education provider with metro and regional campuses sought to strengthen their leaders knowledge, skills and confidence in proactively creating mentally healthy teams.
Solution
We developed a customised full-day leadership training workshop, co-designed with the client to reflect their environment and challenges, and aligned to their internal health, safety and wellbeing processes. Nearly 200 leaders completed the program across multiple campuses, gaining practical tools and evidence-based insights on psychosocial risk, role modelling, facilitating positive team cultures and conducting care conversations.
Impact
- 99.5% of participants agreed or strongly agreed the content was relevant to their roles and clearly delivered, enabling immediate application in the workplace.
- 93.8% reported increased understanding of psychosocial factors, equipping them with a stronger foundation to identify and address risks.
- 96.6% gained confidence in recognising signs of mental health concerns and conducting effective care conversations with team members.
- Facilitators were widely praised for their authentic, warm, and highly knowledgeable delivery, creating a safe, engaging, and practical learning environment.
- The program achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +65, indicating outstanding satisfaction and a strong willingness among participants to recommend the training to others.
- The program continues to be delivered due to strong outcomes and engagement
Case Study 3: Embedding a Mental Health Strategy in a Federal Government Agency
Challenge
A federal agency with approximately 800 employees recognised emerging mental health concerns but had limited visibility into psychosocial risk factors and lacked a clear organisational strategy for wellbeing.
Solution
Our team began with a comprehensive desktop review, analysing existing policies, practices, and mental health data. Due to the value of our insights, the project scope expanded to include facilitated focus groups and in-depth interviews with employees across the organisation. These consultations informed the development of a tailored, agency-wide mental health and wellbeing strategy.
We continued our involvement through co-design of a detailed action plan, using stakeholder workshops to define objectives, initiatives, and success measures. Implementation support followed, including detailed evaluation recommendations aligned to ISO standards.
Impact
- Organisational self-awareness around psychological health and safety significantly increased
- Actionable roadmap co-developed with WHS and leadership representatives
- Ongoing implementation support ensured momentum beyond strategy delivery
- Provided an evidence-based foundation for policy and cultural change
